I'm running Mandriva Cooker. I recently updated from Xorg 7.2 to Xorg
7.3 (where most X related stuff moved from /usr/X11R6 to the
standard /usr/bin, /usr/lib and /usr/share directories). Since then
CXoffice gives the following error and won't start anything.
XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server
":0.0"
after 27 requests (25 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
I'm still running CXoffice 4.2 since all I need is Office 2k (very
rarely) and Photoshop 7 (quite often), and those apps have always run
fine. Am I going to have to upgrade due to a binary compatibility issue
to be able to use CXoffice, or is there something I can hack like a lib
link or something to fix this? (I always have my VMware windows, but
CXoffice is a little more convenient.) Or maybe all 4.2 code is in
native wine and I should just switch to using that?
Looking for advice and suggestions.
Thanks,
